The Engraved Valley design from our Clarksville, Tennessee collection, on a long sleeve t-shirt.
Old-school engraved artwork in burnt orange: the sun coming up over the Cumberland River, the bluffs and the historic downtown, Clarksville arched across the top and est. 1784 underneath.
1784 is when it started. John Montgomery and Martin Armstrong surveyed 200 acres on a bluff above the Cumberland River that year, and the North Carolina legislature officially established the town in December 1785, naming it for Revolutionary War hero George Rogers Clark.
Clarksville got its start in 1784 when John Montgomery and Martin Armstrong surveyed the land on the bluff above the Cumberland River.
