The Engraved Valley design from our Nashville, Tennessee collection, on a hoodie.
Old-school engraved artwork in burnt orange: the sun coming up over layered hills and a wide river bend. NASHVILLE arches across the top, with TENNESSEE · EST. 1779 underneath.
1779 is when it started. That winter James Robertson led a group of settlers across the frozen Cumberland River to the bluffs where they built Fort Nashborough. The town was named for General Francis Nash and became an incorporated city in 1806.
Fort Nashborough was founded on the Cumberland River in the winter of 1779 to 1780. Nashville was incorporated as a city in 1806.
