The Hernando de Soto Bridge design from our Memphis, Tennessee collection, on a pint glass.
A clean navy line drawing of the Hernando de Soto Bridge: two steel arches side by side over the river, with MEMPHIS in wide caps underneath and TENNESSEE below.
The bridge opened in 1973 and carries Interstate 40 across the Mississippi between Memphis and West Memphis, Arkansas. Its two arches make a giant letter M on the skyline, which is why locals call it the M bridge.
Its two side-by-side steel arches form the shape of a big letter M over the Mississippi River.
It is a simplified, stylized line drawing of the bridge, not an engineering drawing.
